The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya organised an informative ‘Seema Darshan’ programme for students of Government College, Shillong, yesterday.
The event, held at the Barmanbari border outpost (BOP), staffed by personnel of the 193rd Battalion of the BSF, offered a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable insights into the crucial role of the BSF in border management and national security. Accompanied by their teachers, the students were warmly greeted by Rajiv Kumar, Commandant of the 193 Bn BSF, along with officers and jawans upon arrival at the BOP.
A special highlight of the programme was a dedicated weapons exhibition showcasing the BSF’s arsenal. The display generated a sense of awe and admiration among the students, sparking their curiosity about the BSF’s capabilities and unwavering commitment to border security, a press release said today.
