The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has called for applications to honour children for exemplary acts of bravery.
The Indian Council for Child Welfare gives awards for bravery to children every year. The main criterion for selection is a distinct and visible act of bravery in the face of impending danger or an act of courage against a social evil or crime.
Detailed information may be downloaded from the district website eastkhasihills.gov.in.
Applications should reach the DC’s office on or before August 30.
