The life of Subhash Chandra Bose was remembered with solemnity and pride here today, the 127th birth anniversary of the Indian freedom fighter.
In the Raj Bhavam Governor Phagu Chauhan paid a floral tribute to his portrait as officers and staff also took part in paying their respects to the great hero of the Indian freedom struggle, who dedicated his life for the freedom of the Nation.
The Greater Shillong Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Birthday Celebration Committee celebrated the day at State Central Library premises by paying floral tributes at Bose’s statue with the release of 127 balloons and accompaniment of patriotic song performed by Anindyo & Arpita Group.
A prize distribution ceremony was also held for the Art and Essay Writing competition held in 2022 during Netaji’s Birthday.
