The Meghalaya government has decided to open up a number of activities in the State from Monday.
Border haats are permitted to reopen by the respective deputy commissioners based on local situation, Chief Secretary M.S.Rao in an order today said.
The order also said universities and college hostels are also permitted to reopen subject to prior permission from the district and sub-divisions and in compliance with SOPs issued by the education department.
Funeral gatherings which was earlier restricted to 20 people has been enhanced to 50. Engagement/marriage ceremonies outside places of worship are permitted up to one-third of the seating capacity but subject to a maximum of 100 persons in spacious halls or open area and 50 persons in private residences.
