The validity period of existing licence holders of the Kalaichar Border Haat have been extended by one year to March 7, 2022, the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills has said.
In a notification, the DC said that the extension was granted “considering the significant loss of time and money incurred by the licence holders due to suspension of activities at Kalaichar Border Haat on account of the national lockdown imposed in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
