The Border Security Force (BSF) will hold a pension Adalat for veterans living in North East states at the Frontier Headquarters of the BSF South Bengal on January 21 and 22 to redress and resolve the grievances of pensioners and their family members.
BSF veterans from the North East can participate via video conferencing, which will be arranged at the BSF Meghalaya headquarters in Umpling, Shillong, to bring up their difficulties before the competent authorities.
Meanwhile, the BSF organised a civic action programme in Bholaganj and Pal Basti in East Khasi Hills today where sports items were distributed in the former and solar streetlights were installed in the latter.
The programme was inaugurated by Inspector General Hardeep Singh, Deputy Inspector General Subash Chandra and Commandant Rajshekar KN. The function was organised to improve the quality of life of the villagers on the border and upgrade existing infrastructure.
