Blood donation camps to celebrate 50 years of Meghalaya statehood was today conducted by the Ri Bhoi District Cricket Association in collaboration with the Ai Jingim Voluntary Blood Donors Organisation in various parts of the state.
The camps were conducted at the civil hospitals at Nongpoh, Jowai and Tura and other licensed blood banks.
Altogether, 100 blood donors had voluntarily donated blood at the camps.
During this blood camp, the leaders of Meghalaya Cricket Association which include Gideon Kharkongor Honorary Secretary of Meghalaya Cricket Association, Dhrubajyoti Thakuria Honorary Treasurer MCA, Rayonald Kharkamni, President RBDCA, Eddystone Shylla at Jowai, Armstrong Marak and Chiang Shira, Joint Secretary MCA were also present.
The MCA also announced that a similar camp will be conducted in Shillong on January 25.
