A blood donation camp was organised by the 100 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) to celebrate its raising day at Bewagre, West Garo Hills.
The camp was held yesterday, which coincides with the day the battalion was raised in 1966.
The main objective of the blood donation camp was to create awareness among people about the importance of blood donation and to encourage them to donate blood. The event provided an opportunity for the community to come together and support a noble cause, the BSF said.
The battalion partnered with Sub-division Hospital, Jengjal and blood bank Civil Hospital, Tura to organize the event.
The Commandant 100 Bn BSF said, “We are delighted to have organized this blood donation camp on our raising day. It is a selfless act that can save lives.”
