If you have lost your smartphone or mobile phone, there is now an official government portal to help you block the use of the device, called the Central Equipment Identity Register or CEIR portal.
With this new ceir.gov.in portal, people whose mobiles are stolen can easily register their complaints where you just have to go online and fill out the registration form. The biggest feature of the portal is that you can block your mobile so that your important data is not stolen.
East Khasi Hills police shared the portal and said an individual can also visit the telecom service provider outlet or State Police to get the IMEI blocked.
