A day after the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge of Meghalaya, Manish Chatrath, claimed that the party will win the 2023 state Assembly election, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and cabinet minister AL Hek said that the Congress was delusional.
Chatrath said that the Congress aims to win a two-thirds majority in 2023 but, according to Hek there is no hope of a revival for the party either in Meghalaya or nationally. Hek, of course, has chopped and changed between the Congress and the saffron outfit, most recently doing so before the 2018 polls.
“The Congress leaders must be dreaming. The BJP will continue to rule the country and the state for another 10 years,” Hek said.
