A state level training programme for the Meghalaya Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held on September 7 to 9 here.
The training, covering 13 topics prescribed by the party’s central training cell, was organised for state office bearers, state executive members, morcha heads and district presidents to discuss and help them understand the principles and doctrine of the saffron outfit.
The main speakers, deputed by the central unit, included Hemant Goswami, national training coordinator, and Dilip Saikia MP, national general secretary. Three of the topics were taken by AL Hek MLA, David Kharsati, and senior advocate SP Mahanta.
Two state topics were taken by BJP state president Ernest Mawrie, namely on road connectivity and health in Meghalaya.
Those members who attended were instructed to pass on what they learnt at the programme to BJP members at the district mandal and booth levels.
