The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha has expressed its disappointment in the order of the Supreme Court which stayed the operation of new agricultural laws that have garnered significant protests in the national capital for more than a month now.
A press release from Pramod Koch, President of the BJP’s state farmers’ wing, said that the organisation is “very much disappointed” with the order but “respects the verdict of the court”.
It defended the agricultural reforms, claiming that they have been introduced for farmers’ “development and welfare”.
