A man on a motorbike was injured after being involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming car in the village of Songsak, East Garo Hills, today afternoon.
The incident took place at about 1:30pm when the bike hit a car coming from the opposite direction while the rider, Harding Marak of Napak Tangkama, was on his way to the block office.
Marak was immediately rushed to the hospital in Songsak where is said to be out of danger. He suffered a leg fracture.
The occupants of the car, who were on their way to Tura, were safe, though the car suffered damage.
