Shillong, Sep 22: Education Commissioner & Secretary Vijay Kumar Mantri was formally inducted as the new State Chief Commissioner of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides during the 83rd state executive committee meeting held here today.
The meeting also welcomed Director School Education and Literacy (DSEL) B.J. Kharshandi who was inducted as the Additional State Chief Commissioner of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides.
A minute of silence was also observed to honour former chief minister DD Lapang.
