The All Bengali Youth and Students Organisation (ABYSO) has written to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma deploring yesterday’s attacks on innocent civilians by a gang of thugs.
Three people were confirmed injured, one seriously, by the knife-wielding gang in the Lumdiengri area of the state capital.
“We from ABYSO are deeply concerned in this tragic incident and worried once again regarding the safety and security of the local minorities residing in Meghalaya at large,” it said in a press release.
The three who were confirmed to have been injured in the assault were identified as Chandan Paul (55), Jurjul Mullah (30) and Abdul S Chaudhary (38).
The ABYSO is an organisation based in Kolkata.
