With the state recording 73 Covid-related deaths and 3,043 new infections since May 10, the state government today decided to launch an aggressive campaign from next week to promote behavioural change.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed that, in a review meeting held today, the government said that every citizen needs to be responsible for themselves.
“So, we decided that through DIPR (Directorate of Information and Public Relations) we will go for aggressive campaigning by going to each and every village throughout the state,” Tynsong informed.
The campaign will involve short films and other catchy advisories that will be easy for the public to understand.
“We have seen that until and unless behaviour change takes place, I think it is difficult to prevent or contain the spread of the virus, which is so dangerous. The trend is not at all conducive – it is very grim throughout the state,” he said.
