The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has allowed banks and post offices to open in restricted fashion due to the ongoing lockdown.
The main branch of State Bank of India, Laitumkhrah branch and Secretariat branch and HDFC Laitumkhrah branch shall function with limited staff for the purpose of Government transactions only. All other banks in East Khasi Hills are permitted to open on June 7-8 with limited staff for the purpose of urgent transactions only. They shall close by 4pm.
All post offices, meanwhile, are permitted to open on June 9-11 with limited staff.
On the said days, all relevant employees can use their employee IDs as curfew passes.
