National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) spokesperson Bajop Pyngrope took a dig at the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) in the state saying the party is aggressive only on social media, but weak on the ground.
The opposition Trinamool Congress has been going all out against the NPP in the state dubbing it a ‘proxy BJP government. On all websites and internet platforms the party has been hanging banners asking Meghalaya to vote for change.
“It seems that they have bought most of the channels and Google apps to advertise their party. The people of the state know very well that all the money that has come to them are from the education and coal scam in West Bengal,” Pyngrope alleged.
He stated that the people of the state should first question the TMC where are all the sponsorships to its advertisements coming from and added that the people of the state are intelligent and know better, which party is going to serve them best.
“They are aggressive only in social media but very weak on the ground and they are trying to play politics in Meghalaya through social media which is not going to work,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Pyngrope said he has not decided whether to contest the upcoming elections but would depend on the NPP leadership to decide. However, he said that as a youth leader, he is happy to work and strengthen the party in the entire state.
