An infant baby girl was found abandoned by the roadside at Keinlangsaw near Jakrem village.
The office of the West Khasi Hills district child protection unit today said that the baby was found on July 15 and is under the care of the Specialised Adoption Agency, Tiehsaw in Nongstoin.
The officer has urged relatives or person to contact the office of the District Child Protection Unit (8258076014), Child Welfare Committee West Khasi District (8787475664) or Specialised Adoption Agency (6009768142/9862634887) to claim the baby within 60 days before she is declared legally free for adoption.
