The Babadam Chief Minister Youth Centre hosted an exhibition to provide a platform for learners to showcase their accomplishments in creative works to a wider audience.
Seven learner projects were showcased during the exhibition held on February 20, which was attended by community members and neighbouring villages.
Among the notable exhibits was the outstanding creativity demonstrated by the learners under the collective named “S.K. Tailoring.” Their presentation featured a fashion show that illustrated the versatile use of a single garment in eight distinct ways, earning commendable feedback from the audience and highlighting the remarkable ingenuity of the tailoring learners from Babadam.
A Self-Help Group (SHG) named ‘Tangkam’ showcased their critically acclaimed hand-woven baskets, a skill acquired through their research and trials in the recently concluded learning cycle at the centre.
Other projects include, crochet products, bakery, soap making, etc.
The exhibition aims to provide an opportunity for students to receive feedback on their work and engage in reflective discussions. Attendees also provided feedback, ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations to encourage learners to further learning and improvement, enabling them to refine their skills and knowledge.
In charge of Babadam Police station Tarun Marak, Nokma of Babadam Michael A. Sangma and Prime Tura Administrative Manager Brian Marak attended the exhibition.
