In sync with the nationwide celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Assam Regimental Centre today conducted a live musical concert with fusion of Regimental Brass & Jazz Band at St Edmund’s College here.
The event was held to re-kindle stories of unsung heroes whose sacrifices have made freedom a reality.
Officers from Indian Army, college faculty and around 500 students witnessed the spectacular display.
Principal of the college, Dr Sylvanus Lamre expressed his gratitude for the efforts put in by the team.
Lt Gen KC Panchanathan, GOC HQ 101 Area acknowledged the effort put in by both the professional teams of Assam Regimental Centre for displaying a commendable show. He praised the versatility of youth of Shillong, urged the students to be responsible citizens and actively contribute in nation building.
