The District Legal Services Authority (DSLA) organised an awareness camp on Legal Care and Support Centre in Resubelpara today.
Advocate Rani K Marak highlighted free legal services that are available to the poor and need who cannot afford the services of a lawyer in a legal case, even up to the Supreme Court.
She also elaborated on the types of cases where free legal aid can be provided, including civil and criminal cases, property matters, cases relating to violation of fundamental rights, as well as matrimonial and family disputes.
District Social Welfare Officer MD Arengh also spoke and talked about the various schemes available under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). Questions from the participants on Anganwadi centres, crèches and other problems were also taken.
