A bridge on the Mawphlang-Balat-Gomughat-Maheskhola (MBGM) road is no longer safe for heavy vehicles to use, the office of the Ranikor Sub-Division’s Assistant Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department informed today.
The bridge, in the area around Assimgittim, Ranikor block suffered damage as its wing wall on the Photkroh bank was washed away last night due to heavy rainfall.
Heavy vehicles are no longer allowed to ply on the bridge until further notice. Repair work is in progress.
