Voice of the People Party (VPP) and Nongkrem legislator president Ardent M. Basaiawmoit will begin his indefinite hunger strike tomorrow infront of the Main Secretariat here.
Basaiawmoit will stage the fast from 10 am. He will be the lone participant at the hunger strike.
It may be mentioned that the VPP chief decided to go on fast to pressurize the State government to review the job reservation policy and also to put on hold all recruitments in the State government till all flaws in the policy are looked into and addressed.
Meanwhile, the district administration has decided to ensure strict security at the site of the protest.
