The Assam Regimental Center team based at Shillong wins second position at the 9th Junior National Wushu Championship held in Fatehabad, Haryana.
A total of 30 teams participated including Boys Sports Company of Assam Regimental Centre consisting of 17 cadets and two coaches in the championship that concluded yesterday.
The team won four Gold, eight Silver and three Bronze medals, thereby securing overall second position in the championship.
Wushu is a martial art which was developed in 1949 in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional martial arts. Wushu has become an international sport under the International Wushu Federation (IWUF).
