The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) has invited applications for the Young Talent Artistes Award 2022-2023 from outstanding candidates, talented/skilled in the categories of folk and tribal music/songs and dance, theatre, dance drama, mime, painting, wood/cane and bamboo craft, traditional handloom and handicraft, pottery, etc.
Unmarried young artistes/artisans in the 18-30 age group (as on March 31, 2023) are eligible to apply, a press release informed today.
The award consists of Rs 20,000 in cash, a citation and a memento. Candidates should be Indian citizens and indigenous to the eight North East states. Candidates who have received any such awards (state/national) earlier in the same field are not eligible.
Deserving artistes/artisans may collect the application form from the office of the Director of Arts and Culture. The last date for submission of the application is on August 18, 2023.
