Anganwadi workers in Garo Hills have written to the Directorate of Social Welfare for the provision of mobile phones that would enable them to do their jobs better.
New phones are required to enable the effective use of the Poshan Tracker application, which is crucial for monitoring child nutrition and development under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme, they argue.
Due to malfunctioning or outdated devices, many anganwadi workers are currently unable to perform their duties effectively, impacting service delivery to beneficiaries.
