Health and Family Welfare Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh today visited a health camp organised by Fanwar Faith INC in collaboration with Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Jengjal Sub Divisional Hospital, RoUTES and Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Madan Pyndeng Mawlieh, West Khasi Hills.
Lyngdoh visited the various booths and interacted with the doctors, health workers, pharmacists and beneficiaries receiving free health checkups and medicines.
In her brief address, Lyngdoh thanked Fanwar Faith INC and other stakeholders for the noble community effort and for their dedication in providing better health care facilities to the remotest of places. The minister also thanked the Mawsor clan for their willingness to donate part of their land for setting up a school in the village which will be initiated by Fanwar Faith INC.
Upon interaction with the doctors in the health camp, Lyngdoh was informed that the populace is prone to diabetes and hypertension and she urged the residents to go for regular checkups to their nearest health sub centres or primary health centres.
The health camp was also attended by doctors from Nongstoiñ Civil Hospital and Mairang Civil Hospital.
