Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh today assured the members of the Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) and traditional heads of Umran Parila that a dilapidated health centre in the village would be inspected.
Informing this after meeting the minister, HITO’s Elvis Kyrsien said that the abandoned centre is now covered in grasses and there have been reports of theft of batteries from the building.
“We want this only MCH and the quarters to be made functionally immediately for the benefits of the people of the region,” he said.
He informed that the minister has assured to come and inspect the building on May 8.
