Cabinet minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, AL Hek, informed today that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Shillong in the second week of July.
“This information was given by the Chief Minister,” Hek told reporters.
However, he could not specify the exact purpose of Shah’s visit to the state capital.
On January 23 Shah visited Shillong to chair the 69th plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC).
Undertake a two-day visit to Shillong in March to discuss revamping of the NEC but this did not come to pass.
