In its effort to contributes towards the upliftment and development of society in Ri-Bhoi, the Airports Authority of India (Shillong Airports), through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) scheme, will sanction two ambulances for the district that will be handed over soon.
In this regard, members of the AAI met with Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah here today and signed a memorandum of association.
The AAI delegation was led by Manish Kumar Agrawal, the Airport Director.
The cost of the two ambulances will be around Rs 29 lakh, Agrawal said.
Last year, the AAI donated Rs 10 lakh to the Deputy Commissioner’s office to procure Covid-19 testing equipment for the district.
