Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), visited the headquarters of Eastern Air Command here from September 7 to 9 for the annual EAC Commanders’ Conference.
The CAS was received on arrival by Air Marshal DK Patnaik, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, EAC.
Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari emphasised the need for critical analysis and measures to enhance operational preparedness. He apprised the commanders of the current security scenario, geopolitical situation and the role of the Indian Air Force in dealing with various contingencies. The CAS also highlighted the need for maintaining high operational readiness round the clock and retaining focus on capability enhancement.
During his visit, he also awarded trophies to stations for achieving excellence in the fields of operations, maintenance and administration.
