The office of the District Mission Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) in collaboration with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), RMC Guwahati handed over aids and appliances to children with special needs.
Altogether 52 beneficiaries, 41 from Mawkyrwat and 11 from Ranikor blocks were provided with the aids and appliances to assist them in their daily life.
PHE Minister and Mawkyrwat MLA, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar who attended the distribution programme said parents should not be disheartened if their kids are born disabled, instead work towards showering them with love and support.
He urged parents to allow such children to get the best education and avail schemes provided by the government.
