Shillong, Oct 27: Teachers and students of the College of Post-Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGS-AS), CAU (I), Umiam participated in the National Agricultural Students’ Sammelan 2025, held at the ICAR Convention Centre, New Delhi today.
Organised by the Agricultural Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi, and IARI in hybrid mode, the live streaming of the conference was attended by 90 participants.
The discussions focused on challenges, technological innovations, and pathways toward a sustainable agricultural future, emphasizing the role of Indian agricultural students in achieving sustainability through global innovations.
Students from various agricultural universities across India shared their views and experiences related to diverse themes such as climate resilience, agripreneurship and food security, contributing valuable perspectives on the evolving landscape of Indian agriculture.
The conference featured an interactive session with eminent personalities, including the Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with other distinguished scientists.
