The Laitdom Primary Health Centre (PHC) finally saw the light of the day after about 13 years on Tuesday with Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh dedicating it to the people of Mairang Block.

Stating that the health centre will have limitations because it has just been opened he urged people of the area to inform the authorities of any faults that they may find and the authorities will try their best to resolve the issues.
“I believe that the doctors who will be appointed in this PHC will do their duty to the best of their abilities. I believe they will give selfless service to you the people of this area without thinking of any personal gains but to leave a legacy of what they have done to serve you,” the Speaker said.
He also applauded people who have willingly donated their land of approximately one and a half acre for constructing the health centre.
