Additional Director General of BSF (Eastern Command) Ravi Gandhi during his two-day visit from October 20 to 21, to the BSF Meghalaya Frontier reviewed the current security scenario and various operational and administrative aspects of border management.
On October 20, Gandhi was welcomed by BSF Meghalaya Frontier Inspector General Harbax Singh Dhillon, along with other senior officers. Gandhi interacted with villagers from border areas of the South West Garo Hills at the Bahadur border outpost of BSF 50 Battalion.
On October 21, the Additional Director General received a guard of honour at BSF Meghalaya Frontier Headquarter,Shillong and interacted with officers after a presentation given by Dhillon on the operational preparedness of the frontier.
Gandhi also paid a visit to Meghalaya Chief Secretary Donald Philips Wahlang and Director General of Police Iadashisha Nongrang.
