Active Covid-19 cases in East Khasi Hills dropped below 100 for the first time in months, with the district currently having just 91 people infected with the disease.
East Khasi Hills has been the district most-affected by the coronavirus in the state, with 8,486 of Meghalaya’s total of 13,693 Covid cases, which is more than 60 percent.
Today there were only three new infections reported in the whole state (two in East Khasi Hills and one in East Jaiñtia Hills) as well as 15 recoveries (14 in East Khasi Hills and one in North Garo Hills.
The Health Department also informed that around 1,300 Covid tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.
