The 69th national conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the right-wing students organisation, was held in New Delhi from December 7-10.
A total of 650 delegates from the North East attended the conference out of which 100 delegates were from different districts of Meghalaya. This event marked 75 years of the ABVP.
The conference confirmed Sashankutlang Khongthohrem as the ABVP state president and Tengku M Marak as the state secretary. Both had been elected earlier. It was also declared that Nibang Sumer will be a central working committee member and that Promila Tham from Shillong and Delis Shylla from Jowai will be national executive council members representing Meghalaya.
