Aadhaar enrolment in East Khasi Hills is underway, the Deputy Commissioner informed today, in the DC’s office in Shillong as well as the offices of the Block Development Officers throughout the district.
Residents who wish to enrol may do so at any of the above-mentioned locations.
Enrolment camps are also functioning. These have been launched based on requests from government departments, institutions, organisations, schools, colleges, Dorbar Shnongs, etc.
For a camp, a minimum of 20 people per day have to be mobilised for enrolment by the requesting organisation. Those organisations interested in this may submit a letter to the DC’s office or to the Assistant Nodal Officer of Aadhaar Enrolment at dpo.ekh@gmail.com.
