The State government has carried out a reshuffle and handed additional charges to bureaucrats.
C.V.D. Diengdoh, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Personnel & A.R. Department, will also function as Additional Project Director of the ADB-funded Integrated Eco-Tourism and Sustainable Agri-based Livelihood Development Project.
Ram Kumar S. has been relieved of his duties as Mission Director of National Health Mission, Managing Director of Meghalayan Medical Drugs and Services Limited, and Executive Director of the State Skills Development Society. He will continue as Secretary to the Government in the Health and Family Welfare Department.
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Chelani has been replaced by Vibhor Aggarwal, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of East Garo Hills district.
Chelani has been posted as Commissioner of Taxes and Executive Director of the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society.
In place of Aggarwal, Reuben Ch. Momin, Additional Deputy Commissioner of East Garo Hills, will also hold charge as Deputy Commissioner of East Garo Hills district.
David D. Sangma, Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Transport Department, has been assigned additional charge of Secretary, Education Department.
R. Chitturi, Additional Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Finance Department, and Commissioner of Taxes, will now also function as Mission Director of National Health Mission, and Managing Director of Meghalayan Medical Drugs and Services Limited. He is relieved of his previous role as Commissioner of Taxes.
Richard Yanthan, Joint Secretary to the Government in the Health and Family Welfare Department, will also handle responsibilities of Joint Secretary in the Sports & Youth Affairs Department.
Saloni Verma, Deputy Secretary in the Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, will now also serve as Executive Director of Meghalaya Basin Management Agency, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Sustainable Transport and Efficient Mobility Society under the Planning Investment Promotion & Sustainable Development department and as Additional Project Director of KFW-funded Sustainable Land Management Project.
Florina Boro, Additional Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills District, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tura Municipal Board (TMB). Rikse R. Marak, Joint Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya and the outgoing CEO of the Tura Municipal Board, has been relieved of her duties with effect from the date of handing over of charge.
Florina Boro, besides taking charge as CEO of Tura Municipal Board, continues as ADC of West Garo Hills.
