Troops of the 193rd Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, thwarted a smuggling attempt near the international border in the East Khasi Hills district.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, BSF troops intercepted smugglers in the border area of Dulainala seizing miscellaneous items and cattle, worth more than Rs 27 lakh meant to be smuggled into Bangladesh.
The seized items have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action.
