The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya detained three women from Bangladeshi for illegal entry into India through the international border in East Khasi Hills district.
According to the BSF a well-coordinated special operation was conducted after the 4 Battalion detected suspicious movement along the border.
All the individuals who are from Dhaka were handed over to Pynursla Police Station for further legal proceedings, the BSF said.
“This successful operation underscores BSF Meghalaya’s unwavering commitment to securing the nation’s borders and preventing illegal activities such as smuggling and infiltration. The BSF remains dedicated to maintaining peace and security along the international border and will continue to take stringent action against any unlawful activities,” a statement said.
