The State Level Youth Exchange Programme culminated today showcasing the vibrant energy and skill of Meghalaya’s youth.
The closing ceremony was held today at Convocation Hall, NEHU Shillong Campus.
Organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, 500 young talents from across 12 districts of Meghalaya participated in the event held under the theme ‘Today’s Youth-Tomorrow’s Leader’.
The youth were engaged in a week of cultural interaction, idea exchange, learning, and talent showcase. The event also featured an array of competitions, interactive sessions, and talent hunts, which included Declamation, Quiz, Poetry Writing, Story Writing, Painting, Folk Song and Dance (solo and group), and Science Mela.
East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, RM Kurbah attended the concluding day and congratulated the participants, acknowledging their exceptional prowess and skills.
It is to be noted that over 24 youth were selected to attend the upcoming International Empower Youth Programme at Jakarta, Indonesia.
