Movement of vehicles through the Them Ïew Mawlong area in the city resumed today after closure of the road for six long years.
Vehicles including taxis and buses coming from Anjali Point today passed through Them Ïew Mawlong. Similarly, passenger vehicles entering Motphran were diverted towards Ïew Mawlong and to Them Ïew Mawlong.
The step taken has reduced traffic congestion at Motphran especially during day time.
It may be mentioned that the road at Them Ïew Mawlong was closed since 2018 after violence that erupted due to an altercation between a bus driver and residents of the area.
