Five Bangladesh nationals were apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya from Dalu in West Garo Hills district.
According to the BSF, the Bangladeshis had come from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where they were working in a Garment factory of Chennai, and had intended to illegally cross into Bangladesh.
These persons were caught travelling in an auto rickshaw from Dalu towards Purakhasia by a patrolling team of the BSF.
Initially, the Bangladeshi nationals got out and attempted to flee but were pursued by the troops.
The apprehended persons were handed over to Dalu police.
