The Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM), an association of teachers at ad hoc schools, held its general central executive meeting on September 14 in Tura where a new president was elected.
The incumbent president Diningroy Marwein had tendered his resignation prior to the meeting and the central executive accepted it. Moonroy G Momin was subsequently elected unanimously as new president and Marwein was appointed as the new chief advisor to FASTOM. This was informed through a press release today.
