The annual pynsum masi (bathing of cows) ritual was held today ahead of the sowing season in Raid Nongkharai in Ri-Bhoi, which falls under Mylliem Syiemship.
The ritual is a time-honoured tradition where cattle crucial for agricultural activities are cleansed.
The event was attended by representatives of Hima Mylliem, the traditional head of Raid Nongkharai and local residents. Traditional music and dance added to the atmosphere.
