The State BJP today launched a campaign that seeks to include seeks to include citizen’s suggestions in the party manifesto.
The campaign which is part of the “Viksit Bharat Modi ki Guarantee” aims is to collect public opinions.
The media cell of the party in a press release said that public opinions can be instrumental in creating a vibrant, prosperous tomorrow for the nation and all its citizens, which is a unique way of ensuring collective policy making and creating the ground work for participative governance, taking democracy to where it truly belongs – the people of India.
Under the campaign, the party office in each mandal will house a suggestion box where citizens can drop their suggestions on policies and agendas that are vital for national progress and inclusive development.
The party has invited suggestions from NGO’s, self-help groups, various unions and associations, co-operatives and the people. “Those unable to walk over to the party offices can submit their thoughts online via the NaMo app or give a missed call to 9090902024,” the party said.
BJP State President Rikman G Momin who launched the campaign said, “As a party, BJP has always believed that democracy is public responsibility and the power to decide agendas should not be limited to a privileged few. With this campaign, we aim to create a manifesto that reflects a national consensus. What better example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s main mantra – saabkasaath, saabkavikaas, sabkaviswaas.”
