A 30 year old man has reportedly gone missing after he was buried under a pile of trash in Shillong’s dumping ground of Marten, in Mawlai today.
The man has been identified as Marshal Marwein of Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills, is a temporary resident of Mawïong here.
He was working as a waste picker in the dumping yard, when an enormous pile of garbage collapsed on him.
Excavators have been pressed into service as rescue operation is underway till filing of this report.
