The Meghalaya Basin Management Agency (MBMA) was conferred the ‘Earth Care Award’ in the Community-Based Climate Action category during the 11th Earth Care Awards, for its works under the Community Led Landscape Management Project (CLLMP).
CLLMP is a World Bank funded project that has been working to empower and facilitate communities in addressing their NRM challenges by formulating and implementing their own holistic NRM plans.
Founded in 2008 and presented jointly by JSW and The Times of India, the award has been conferred to recognise efforts towards climate mitigation and adaptation.
The award was received by CLLMP representatives led by CLLMP Project Director Sampath Kumar and Additional Project Director Gunanka DB.
